Weeb, weeaboo, and weebo are all the same, Weeb is just shorter and weebo is spelled wrong. Otaku is a basically weaboo but to a lesser degree that greatly differentiates it. A legitimate Weeaboo is someone who is obsessed with everything Japanese that they pulled a Logan Paul and forgot about respect.
Secondly, is it bad to be an otaku? It isn't required for an otaku to go to every anime event they can find, travel to Japan, or even feel forced to own an abundance of anime merchandise. You simply have to be someone that appreciates anime and manga. So long as you don't allow appreciation to turn into obsession, being an otaku is 100% ok.
