Keeping this in consideration, how often do you mist air plants?
If you are growing them indoors and the air is dry, you will need (at minimum) to submerge the plant in water for 2-3 hours about every two weeks. In a shaded-house or unheated home, you can use a soaking mist once or twice a week in summer, once a month in cooler weather.
Furthermore, how long can air plants go without water? Air Plants can survive long periods of time with little to no water. But, they will not thrive in this environment. Eventually they will die off without enough water. Unrooted recommends you soak your Air Plants for 10 minutes once a week.
Herein, can you mist air plants?
Air plant misting is the most common method of watering but it doesn't get plant roots really well moistened and can cause leaves to have fungal issues if the plant isn't in good ventilation where leaves dry quickly. Spraying air plants is best to increase humidity in really dry homes and climates.
Do air plants get bigger?
After the first few years they start to get growing a little faster as they get larger sized. While seed grown plants do grow much slower, they tend to be bigger and better specimens than plants grown as offset. It can take years for a small air plant to grow and eventually bloom, so patience is key!
